Roofing across Conroe and Montgomery County

Conroe by neighborhood, then The Woodlands, Spring, Willis and the lake, Montgomery, Magnolia, Cut and Shoot, and Porter and New Caney.

We're based in Conroe and we work the whole city daily. Conroe has spread a long way from the courthouse — 80 square miles now, from the lake to Cut and Shoot and from Willis to The Woodlands — so here's how we think about it.

Conroe by area

Downtown & the old city

The historic district, the Crighton Theatre blocks, Frazier Street, Avenue M, the streets around the courthouse and Candy Cane Park. The oldest roofs in the county — 1920s to 1960s homes, some on their third layer, some under original standing seam. Tear-offs to bare deck, decking replacement and ventilation that the original builders never imagined.

River Plantation, Panorama Village & the 1970s

River Plantation along the West Fork, Panorama Village (its own city around the golf course), Wedgewood, Teaswood, Crighton Ridge, Longmire on Lake Conroe. Big-lot 1970s and '80s homes with mature pines, turbine vents and roofs on their second or third replacement. Ridge vents, Class 4 shingle, gutters with pine-needle guards.

Loop 336 & the 2000s subdivisions

Graystone Hills, Stewart's Forest, Barton Woods, Silverstone, Ladera Creek, Wedgewood Falls, Canyon Creek, Montgomery Creek Ranch. Builder-grade architectural shingle from 2002 to 2012, at the end of its life and mostly replaced on claims after the 2024 storms — or about to be.

Grand Central Park, Harper's Preserve & the new city

Grand Central Park on the old Camp Strake land at I-45 and Loop 336, Harper's Preserve, Artavia, Woodland Lakes, Water Crest and Lakes at Crockett Martin. 2016-and-later homes with radiant-barrier decking and 30-year shingle — warranty work, storm inspections, gutter guards, and the first replacements a decade out.

Lake Conroe & the west side

April Sound and Walden across the water, Longmire, Water Crest and the Highway 105 West shoreline, and the acreage out FM 2854. Wind off the lake, metal roofs, gated POAs.

East Conroe & the acreage

Highway 105 East, Loop 336 East, FM 3083, FM 1484 toward Willis, FM 1485 toward Grangerland. Acreage homes, manufactured homes, barns and shops, and pines close enough to touch the gutters.

Beyond Conroe

Who issues the permit?

Inside the City of Conroe, a straight re-roof doesn't need a permit — only a job that replaces decking or rafters does, and then we pull it. Unincorporated Montgomery County (most of the lake shore, the acreage, Spring on this side of the county line, Porter and New Caney) issues no residential building permits. Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North, Willis, Montgomery, Magnolia, Panorama Village, Cut and Shoot and Roman Forest each have their own rules and, in most cases, their own contractor registration. We check the parcel before we start so nothing surprises you at resale.

Hail season starts in March. Get the roof looked at first.
